What a difference a day makes...!

Bobbie Medlin, introduced herself to me Saturday afternoon, because a dear friend of the family has started working at her tribal jewelry store in DC. Bobbie, wearing some fabulous jewelry, added to her collection with one of Jeanine Payer's archive pieces (bottom piece seen in the lower right hand photo) that I had just put out that morning.

A fashionable couple came into Cursive Saturday evening
decked out for a party with the invitation to wear something "ethnic".

The pattern of this shoulder bag (reminded me of Jack & Lulu's navy lattice cards) combined with the light blue Aero shopping bag and this woman's outfit captured the beautiful sunny cool weather, we've been experiencing, perfectly.

Lists and textures...

Creating lists of things (keeps me focused and organized) and seeing a "handwritten" list on this bag made the idea of lists even sweeter.

These textures were on an outfit worn by a Cursive customer who had just come in from the Central Park Conservatory luncheon. It turns out her daughter attended my high school, Nightingale-Bamford.

Cursive owners on design*sponge guest blog

Michael Schultz and Douglas Duncan, Cursive's owners, are quoted on the guest blog by erika at Delphine on Design*Sponge this week. It's been a wonderful insight for me to get a peek inside their brain... Here are some of my favorite peeks:

Farmer's Market flowers...

Seeing someone carry a bundle of flowers or branches, on Saturday mornings in ABC, will always put a smile on my soul and brighten my day! I can't help but ask if I can take a photo. It's really how the flowers are being carried which capture's my eye...

I love this photo. Do you know why?
It's the way the large bundle of peonies are falling out of the canvas tote, and that the navy handles and tote bottom just happens to match the sneakers...

Summer snapshots at Cursive...

Love the preppy green & pink pattern on this canvas tote which was a benefit give-away!

New Product!

Cursive still cannot get enough of these bird tiles and the lime/yellow tile in the upper left hand corner is my new favorite. So much so that I bought it for myself after us carrying this collection for the past 2 years!

(Clockwise from upper left hand corner):
1. Metallic purple journals in the upper left hand corner are part of a collection of passport holders, travel tags and medium size zippered pouches from England. The purple is a great way to jazz up your bag or desk!
2. Raindrop glass vases sit against an apple green butter vase from Brooklyn and large textured paper boxes, in a corally red and an orange, big enough to hold papers and stationery.
3. Textured paper journals also from France
4. "Think Green" tote carried by a customer
5. New letterpress cards
6. Glass bottle vases and decanters from Los Angeles.
