or chinch it in style.
Here is another sneak peak at some amazing belts and rings by Jeanine Payer.
Jeanine has re imagined here larger belts into these lovely skinny ones, oh and that Camel color leather os so good.
And because we don't want your fingers to be jealous of your pants here are some new goodies to grace your knuckles.cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-42564564665436735562012-08-09T12:46:00.000-04:002012-08-09T12:46:00.480-04:00A sneak peak...
at some amazing new work from Jeanine Payer.
As you know we have a long and very happy relationship with the jeweler and her beautiful work. I just selection a collection of her newest pieces: these are a few of her earrings.
Very clean, very modern and very Jeanine!cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-15285664174106515692012-08-08T10:54:00.004-04:002012-08-08T10:54:57.298-04:00Birds of a feather...
flock to Cursive.
We discovered these very cool framed feathers at a showroom in Atlanta. The owner travels the world and works with indigenous people to sustainably collect these beauties. The shop at ABC should be graced with these wonderful objects later this summer.

can you believe it!
I rarely receive a hand written thank you note from our vendors but when it happens I save them.
What a wonderful way to spread our mutual love for paper than actually use it the way it is intended.
"Thank You" for the note and reminding me that I to might want to break into my stacks and stacks of note cards and send a few myself.cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-13584346991510850912012-06-26T14:38:00.001-04:002012-06-26T14:38:29.865-04:00Possibilities...
abound.
We here at Cursive are expanding our world view and contemplating some big ideas. A quick trip out of state last week netted some surprising possibilities for expansion and creative growth. We will certainly let you know as we grow closer to any decisions. for inspiration!
While walking ICFF last week we spotted these wonderful carpets that have become inspiration for a fall buy. I love the muted, distressed and yet colorful look. Now I just have to source the goodies to bring my inspiration to life!cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-6740412410032017542012-05-26T19:58:00.001-04:002012-05-26T19:58:22.995-04:00Look what has flow...
into the shop.
Well it's not there yet but this wonderful Murano Dove has just arrived from my very first win!
I am so excited to be adding wonderful vintage glass objet into the mix at our ABC location.
I caught the vintage bug a few weeks ago at Brimfield and just can't stop myself. You know what they say about birds of a feather!

back!
Alice Park card cases and key straps have arrived at both shops. For those of you who may not be familiar with this line it is so beautiful in its simplicity. The card cases gently fold onto themselves and are then stitched in contrasting thread. Alice is an architect by trade and you can tell by her line, it's clean, simple and wonderfully graphic in it's construction. just the way I like it.
This little guy is the newest addition to Black Bird Letterpress's range of HUG cards. I love, love, love the idea of opening a sweet letter and surprise look who is delivering your cash... or as they had displayed with a picture of a child... I laughed out loud at the idea of a Dingos' stole my baby, or as it were a rabid raccoons' got my baby. and it was!
The Stationery Show is a once a year marathon that can be exhausting but this year I simplified my plan and finished in record time. That's not to say that I didn't find wonderful new collections.
These fellas will be at GCT soon along with 10 more of their friends.

and what a find!
I am so proud to have been the very first shop to pick up this wonderful new line. I have had the privilege to be the fist account to support a great new talent a few times in my career but this one some how seems extra special! Everything about the line is spot on, the paper, the color, the thoughtfully executed design and most of all the wonderful woman who created the line.

The invitations are pouring in for the Stationery Show.
It's the one time a year when my total focus is on paper. I somehow have to think about Holiday cards, even though it's full on Sumer here. But if these invitations are any indication the show should be full of wonderful new collections form new vendors and old faithfuls. Stay tuned for sneak peaks to come.

This post is related to the last.
I experienced a very unsettling customer interaction on Friday and of course it made it's way onto Yelp. As you would expect it's one sided and vivid but I refuse to let the internet define who I am or what my shops stand for. So, if you choose, yelp us and see for yourself.
I am having a drink, well not at this exact moment but later for sure. Cheers!

What's that about?
I am not the biggest web person on earth so it might not surprise you or it might but I just went on Yelp to see what they have to say about us. Well, the good news is that we have a hight star rating but the bad news is that we received a 1 star from a very disappointed client. I must say the scathing review threw me so I decided to snoop a little and see what other shops cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-69423751775387653492012-04-02T21:04:00.000-04:002012-04-02T21:04:31.255-04:00My nearly 3 year old...gets a mini facelift!
We finally were able to have the water damage repaired at GCT ( it only took 2 and a half years !) but now she's looking spiffy. It was a mazing to see how fast the Hyatt guys worked, there are really fast.
We are now looking sharp and ready to rock and roll.cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-76959346799763566392012-03-30T13:18:00.000-04:002012-03-30T13:18:46.451-04:00My bowl....has arrived!
I posted about these wonderful glass bowls awhile back but they just arrived today.
When I saw first these at the Gift Show I asked the designer if she would be wiling to make a much larger version than she was currently showing. Luckily for me she said yes and thus the "grand schultz" was born. I am going to have a hard time letting these find new homes!cursive new yorkhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08871213443006981925noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34030217.post-85278881259287008382012-03-28T11:46:00.001-04:002012-03-28T11:46:31.602-04:00Phase 1....of the hanging garden is now complete. I can't even tell you how excited I am that we are going to have these, beyond wonderful, pieces for sale in our collection. The Chrysler Building stands directly across Lexington Avenue from Grand Central Terminal and it happens to be my favorite building in NYC.
As I walked by this morning on my way to drop off our taxes, I glanced up to see the magnificent epitome of the American dream erected smack dab in of the city that never sleeps. I recently installed a new John Derian multiple piece wall hanging in the shop on the 5th floor of ABC. It's a lovely little nod to spring hopefully coming soon.
I was a little hesitant in hanging it as I dislike measuring and things like that but it went up remarkably easy and is quite stunning.
