Week of March 1st

A woman carrying around what looked like a loaf of bread tightly wrapped in saran wrap walked into Cursive. When I made a comment she said that it was freshly baked walnut raisin bread from the French Culinary Institute and offered it to me. In return I asked if I could photograph her polka-dot top with scarf, and of course, the bread for Cursive's blog. A former pastry chef she now works in their admissions office.

Akisa, a Malagasy Coton de Tulear, looked so comfortable being carried just so. Akisa means "pretty & playful".

What a great outfit to jump start this gorgeous semi-warm weather. I love her combination of necklaces and scarves. We both wear a combination of j.crew and anthropologie which is why I was drawn to her outfit. When she admired my Matta dupatta ombre stole I immediately walked her over to the Matta shop to introduce her to another favorite clothing line of mine.

I finally put two and two together after I photographed Kim's magenta hoodie and fingerless gloves (by Elyse Allen) that I've already photographed her in a cute summer outfit at Cursive Grand Central Terminal (gct). Her top (above) is from Anthropologie along with the one in the photo below. Here she is last summer:
