A gentleman came in over the weekend eyeing our collection of rollerball and fountain pens. I showed him a few and asked if he used fountain pens. He said, "Let me show you something...". He pulls out a worn, brown, leather case with curved ridges. Off comes the top and in it is his favorite fountain pens. I commented on how cool the case was and he says it is normally used for cigars!

3/1/07 - Adendum: the owner of the above fountain pens commented on yesterday's post and described each of his pens which I would like to list here for easier reference...

Left to Right:
a Stipula Duetto (yellow), a Monteverde Riviera (blue), a Mont Blanc 146 (black)
and a Libelle Nature (mother of pearl).

Feb 15th

Allison, a freelance market editor, was wearing this knitted hat, while standing in front of Cursive's cabinet. I told her about Cursive's blog and she was so excited to hear about our blog that she shared her blog with me. Check it out: shelterrific

I like taking photos of friends, mothers & daughters, familes etc... here is Allison with her friend Ramie (pronounced like the cotton), who is an interior designer, wearing a very warm-looking jacket from the Army/Navy store.

small connections...

Mav of port2press and Stephanie of Agnes & Hoss back on Jan 26th.
Mav was in town helping Stephanie set up for the Gift Fair.
She introduced herself to me, which I am glad she did,
because I bought one of her 2007 calendars, love her cards and her blog!

Happy Valentine's Day

The winter look at Cursive!

Love this orange crow on the back of this gentleman's sweater!

*

Aondrea (an artist & teacher) & Alix (a jewelry designer),
both from the San Francisco area, were well-prepared for our cold weather.
I especially love the buttons on both their coats.

*

I love this Prada coat that Phoenix is wearing.

*

Tracy Tanner (a handbag designer) and her father definitely have
the right hats for our cold weather!

Kristin, one of our employees, snapped this photo of me
taking a photo of Cursive merchandise.

Here I am with Jessica & Kathleen who are sales reps for a Boston-based company.
Jessica and I know each other from when I worked with Wingard (in SF) and she repped us and Kathleen and I met in Cairo, Egypt at a mutual friend's wedding, this past New Year's.

I love the combination of textures worn around Alisa's neck:
the mesh sparkly necklace combined with her white scarf and delicate gold necklace.
