New jewelry, vintage materials

Check out the new jewelry, at our Grand Central Location, that matches all the colors that are being injected into our wardrobe this Spring.  Made by I. Ronni Kappos from vintage glass from the 1920's, 30's and 40's.

Happy Red Tuesday!

Red makes such a great accent color and gives an outfit the extra oomph!

All the Cursive items I could find last night with a little bit of red mixed into the design.

after 11pm...

It is after 11pm most evenings when I sit at my computer and start skimming/reading through my daily blogs, facebook and blogging on my blogs...

My home page is set to Pia Jane Bijkerk at the moment and I enjoy looking through her beautiful photography and reading her posts which washes away the current day and sets me up for my late evening web stroll...

Onto design*sponge for some serious inspiration and interesting tidbits to relay to my customers the next day and then I usually end up on a blog or website that keeps me transfixed until it is time for bed somewhere near 1am...

This evening I was reading an email from GOOP by Gwyneth Paltrow

who had a Q+A with Jay-Z's about his inspiration for his new website: Life + Times.  After reading the Q+A, I immediately clicked onto his website and fell in love with the photos and design layout. It blew me away!  Recently I've fallen in love with bold graphics and design and this website falls into that category.  I know I will be returning often.

Staff Picks... beginning with Kristina

Kristina, sales associate at the Cursive - abc home location, chose the following pieces as her favorite picks:

Balancing an organic and rich glaze, Ted's one-of-a-kind ceramics always put me in a state of ocular awe.  Each individual piece has it's own beautiful aura.

Counter-clockwise beginning from the gold photo album:

1) Barbara Wiggins 'gold' photo album: Made of gorgeous leather, Barbara Wiggins mini albums make a great table top accessory.  The crackled gold looks stunning on nearly every surface and it's a great way of showing off your latest photos without committing the old faux pas of pulling out the family album every time company is over.

2). Motel Deluxe pocket journals: I love the new Galapagos Island collection.  The pocket journals are so convenient and cute.  I always keep one on hand to jot down anything from my day's to-do list to a review of the latest meal I've eaten.

3). K Studio pencil pouch: Having a k studio pouch in my bag is a must, it keeps me organized. I love the pencil pouch that has a cat on one side and dog on the other; finally I don't have to choose between my two favorite house pets.  They're the perfect gift for anyone in school or those who feel organization is a must.

I'm still trying to improve my posts by sticking to a schedule, however, now that we are trying to be more grown up about being present on Facebook, Twitter, this blog and re-launching the design our Cursive's website, it is time to step up to the plate and focus on that darn schedule! it is taking me a little bit more time to adhere to our new schedule, so thank you for being patient while we find our groove.

Yellow is a new favorite color of mine.  It's cheery, has lots of depth to it and seems to be a very popular accent piece in outfits.  Here are some of my favorites that walked into Cursive.

Coat and bag by Orla Kiely

J. Ohms, ohms consulting, wore this fabulously yellow coat with matching beret with such panache!

Carol's sweater and matching chain and necklace are all various shade of yellow
