flowers in bloom

Here is an amaryllis in bloom at my Aunt's house. I love seeing the
texture of the petal as the sun shines through.

We show off these picture frames (made of shagreen and brass)
with my flower photographs.

These John Derian trays go well with my flower photos. We've never had the clematis tray (top photo) before and I love how the vibrant purple goes with the blue butterfly tray.

RE-merchandising

It's amazing what a bit of re-merchandising can do to Cursive. Here's a close-up of items I've re-discovered after all the re-arranging...

I love this bag! Cute, sturdy, made of synthetic materials... what more could you ask for?

planting bulbs...

I was watching a video this morning on dominomag.com about planting bulbs (amaryllis & paper whites to be exact) indoors which makes me want to run out, buy some amaryllis bulbs and try out my green thumb! I thought it would be a nice compliment to this planting theme to post photos of these new journals.

The plant and flower drawings are designed by Hugo Guinness for Marie Papier. The cover is a heavier cardstock but light enough to curl up it up and stash in one's bag. The binding is sewn and covers graph paper. Seeing them on our shelves has already jump started Spring in Cursive!

Unique jewelry spotted...

Unique textures on jewelry really capture my eye. The ring is from Cairo (I didn't see any of this jewelry when I was there a year ago but now I want to go back and check this collection out)! The pendant was given as a gift to this woman.

The color yellow...

Seeing these bright yellow flowers
made me realize what bright colors and textures
can do for our sense of well-being.
This sight gave me energy for the rest of my day!

Lydia and her anatomical heart...

Lydia, whom had been eyeing Jeanine Payer's collection since 2004, chose a piece that finally spoke to her. The anatomical heart is from Jeanine's archive collection.

patterns in timeless moments...

I love all these patterns on a customer's attire. She bought the guest book (below)
which added to her patterns...

Happy Sunday!
