The simplicity of this woman's outfit: her Vanessa Bruno black leather tote trimmed in sequins, simple white top and accented with a light blue necklace is something that I aspire to, however, I would add a touch of color or print to make it my own.

I am always on the look out for comfortable yet stylish shoes to wear while working at Cursive and these silver woven shoes on this woman were right up my alley. The woman purchased her PF Flyers at Revolve Clothing in Los Angeles. I checked out PF Flyers website and fell in love with these two pairs. I hope they still have them...

We received the plaster letters last week and a stylist from Chicago pulled these three letters, which are her initals, to place them in her all-white office. I have photographed this Marni Patent Leather bag before and I love its versatility.

As you know I love textures and this olive green shawl/cover up was just fabulous. I mistakenly thought it was by Issey Miyake but was corrected. It is designed by Ray Harris, an English designer, and was shown during Fashion Week. This woman demonstrated to me how it could be converted from a long shawl to a cover up with sleeves. Amazing!

This overcoat "Favelas" by Ronaldo Fraga, a Brazilian designer, was sooooo cool! The material is the same found on raincoats. The woman wearing this coat is also a designer of jewelry and her silver butterfly (below) went so well with the overcoat.

Love the sneaks with the multi-color bags.

Anne, a clothing designer from Chicago, showed for the first time at the Designers & Agents Show, and stopped by Cursive to say hello. She was also looking forward to seeing the new Gary Graham shop.

This bag reminded me of the Flintstones...

Combining textures is a wonderful thing: braided handles on her bag with the fine pleating of the dress and the patent leather red belt.

I love this woman's hairstyle with her large gold hoop earrings accenting her tatoo around her neck and chest.


I loved seeing part of Jeanine Payer's necklace with this woman's rings. She designed the top band with Cathy Waterman's jewelry as her inspiration. The "heart" tatoo on this woman's finger is a combination of her first initial and her husband's first initial. She got it in celebration of her 7th wedding anniversary!

Her friend had a shell woven into her hair and the combination of a natural form, being a part of her, touched me.

S. Martin always is wearing a unique blend of bracelets and I love seeing the Jeanine Payer bracelet among them.

Saturday's flowers from the Farmer's Market

Another person's garbage...

This woman was carrying a beautiful bunch of orchids and foliage with her while walking through abc and I had to ask here where she bought them. It turns out that she had been walking by an office building and a "man in a suit" from the building was throwing out all these flowers. She asked if she could take some and he said sure. So she gathered up a bunch and was going to give them to her daughter who she was visiting here in NYC.

It's really nice to see so many Cursive customers carrying extra totes to handle an overflow of shopping and not taking a paper bag for their purchases.

I love the combination of this woman's clutch with the color and texture of her dress and bracelet.

Speaking with Geri, the woman whose wrist these bracelets lay, was so invigorating and fun. How could someone not comment on this collection of bracelets! Of course, I immediately spotted the Jill Platner bracelet on the far left. She has a distinct look to her bracelets that I can always recognize.

I have photographed this mod pattern on a dress before. It is by an Australian clothing company called "skunk" something... Is anyone familiar with this line?

I am perfecting this comfortable look of flowy tops/dresses over pants and comfortable shoes.

The woman above, with the yellow shoes, compiled this grouping of items from Cursive with a few items from ABC's apothecary dept. Organic nail polish and jeweled bindi in tin cases sat aside tiny birthday books, a notepad with red mushrooms and pencils with gold lettering...

It never fails that customers with Fish's Eddy bags always shop in ABC and vice versa. The print on this long dress launched Labor Day weekend for me.

Chocolate Brown and Pink always remind me of Kenneth Wingard's (my former employer) color combinations in ceramics and leather collections and has become one of my favorite combos in clothing. This woman completed my image with her large white leather shoulder bag.

After being in the jewelry industry for a number of years I enjoy seeing something new and different. I love the delicacy of this jewelry and it turns out that it is designed and worn by the designer herself, Sarah Perlis.

What's more refreshing than fuschia pink with polka dots!

These scarab rings caught my eye as my sister has a scarab from Egypt made from soapstone. These rings are designed by Alex Streeter.
